Endless forms most beautiful

Olen kerrassaan lumoutunut Nightwishin tuoreimmasta albumista.
15 vuoden ajan kyseinen bändi on kulkenut elämän taivalta rinnallani,
mutta voin vannoa etten koskaan aiemmin ole kuullut mitään lähellekään yhtä kaunista.

Tolkien-henkiset folkkivivahteet ( Thank u for being a part of NW Troy) yhdistettynä vanhan liiton heviin, Richard Dawkinsin terävän realistiseen maailmankuvaan sekä Nightwishin tutun turvalliseen mutta aina yhtä kylmiä väreitä selkäpiihin nostattavaan symfoniseen metalliin ovat kerrassaan henkeäsalpaava musiikillinen kokemus.
Rakastan myös Floorin rouheaa mutta herkkää ääntä.
On varmaankin itsestään selvää, että kyseinen albumi kolahti postiluukustamme sen ilmestymispäivänä, hyvissä ajoin ennakkoon tilattuna.

Nightwish @ Sauna Open Air 2013

"You are my path, my home, my star
A beautiful tale within the tale
And when the dust needs to move on
I will tuck us in on a bed of snow
Painting white, silencing the valley we built
Together we'll sleep, devoured by life."

"We are going to die, and that makes us the lucky ones. Most people are never going to die because they are never going to be born. The potential people who could have been here in my place but who will in fact never see the light of day outnumber the sand grains of Sahara. Certainly those unborn ghosts include greater poets than Keats, scientists greater than Newton. We know this because the set of possible people allowed by our DNA so massively exceeds the set of actual people. In the teeth of those stupefying odds it is you and I, in our ordinariness, that are here. We privileged few, who won the lottery of birth against all odds, how dare we whine at our inevitable return to that prior state from which the vast majority have never stirred?"

"There is grandeur in this view of life, with its several powers, having been originally breathed into a few forms or into one; and that whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being, evolved."
[Professor Richard Dawkins]
I´m most certainly mesmerized by new Nightwish album.
Band has walked beside me for 15 years now, but I swear I´ve never heard anything this beautiful.
Tolkien-folk shades combined to old school heavy metal, Richard Dawkins sharp and realistic vision of life and the bands familiar but stunning symphonic metal is for sure an breath taking experience.
Love Floors voice too. She is a pure rouhg metal lady with a great ability to change her voice so soft and delicate.
Don´t probably need to say that the album reached me the day it was released, since I bought it advance.
